James Andison

James Andison was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, in 1969  and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After graduating from College he moved west and settled just outside of beautiful Nelson, BC. He now resides there with his wife and three children.
James has been carving for well over a decade and his works have been distributed through out Canada and the USA. In James’s opinion - there is no better medium for artwork than the rich, organic medium of wood as there is virtually no carbon foot print, off-gassing or harmful chemicals used. When ever possible James is always on the look out for reclaimed wood, natural blow-downs or hazardous trees which need removing. One of his goals is to keep his company small and as green as possible using only natural environmental friendly products!
When he’s not in his shop carving James enjoys many other activities such as spending time with his family, touring & tele-mark skiing, mountain biking, fishing & exploring the natural beauty of the Kootenays. James loves to meet new people and looks forward to creating that special piece for your family heirloom, residence, or business.
