Structural Carving

For structural posts, beams, knee braces, arches, corbels, finials or pendents, etc. - it’s easy!  Just send us your engineered blueprints with wood carving specifications. We can have it built by a 5 axis, C.N.C. (Computer Numerically Controlled) carving machine for precision cutting, or cut by hand.  We will then proceed to carve it as per approved drawings and send it to the jobsite as per your time specifications.

Totem Poles and Free-standing Wooden Vertical Art

The sky is the creative limit!  Whether it is a carved half log, full log (in the round), triangular, square, or rectangular shaped, it’s all possible - from 5 ft. to 60 ft. plus.  Your totem pole or vertical art structure can even rotate by hand, on a Sweetwood Creations Inc. customized stand, if you like!  All wood carving styles, motifs and designs are welcome.  Please remember that depending on the size of the totem pole or vertical art, Sweetwood Creations Inc. may need to liaise with your architects and/or builders, as larger pieces can/may require structural engineering and can/may require installation considerations.  Please visit our ‘Custom orders’ section for more information.

Custom Carved Doors

The front doors of any building or home are a statement as to how your guests are welcomed.  Sweetwood Creations Inc. can create custom carved doors to whatever specifications and style you desire.  Your doors can be carved with your own design, to reflect your own individual creative style. Sweetwood Creations Inc. products can be shipped to your building site when required.

Woodcarver’s Stamp of Authenticity

The wood carver’s Stamp is optional but recommended: each Sweetwood creation can have two brands burnt into it in discrete places.  The first is a Sweetwood Creations Inc. brand; the second is the sculptor James Andison’s name brand.  When shipped, each piece can also include documents of authenticity, origin and full description of the wood carving, with replacement cost for insurance purposes.  Sweetwood Creations Inc. also keeps a log of your artwork in its database.

The Woodcarving Studio

The sculptor James Andison and Sweetwood Creations Inc. is located on private forested land near the top of a mountain in the West Kootenays in central B.C.  It is an inspiring setting to in which to work.  The woodworking studio is a 40 ft. wide by 80 ft. long, timberframe structure, and is equipped with all necessary tooling for Sweetwood Creations Inc.’s products.
